Cheating in a relationship seem to be a taboo. I shouldn’t be mentioning this and in fact no one likes to hear this or mention about this topic when you’re in a relationship. However, I think it’s fair and smart for us to maybe equip ourselves on how to detect it before someone really get hurt.

Here are some of the ways to detect if your spouse is cheating on you

• One of the initiate sign of cheating could be that he/she is spending a lot of time away from you suddenly. Popular excuses could be, overtime at work, a new hobby, more time with friends or family etc.
• Another signs could be he/she does not explain the calls or text messages to you after you catch him taking it. Most of the time, when you are in a relationship, you don’t want your partner to get suspicious so if they give you a look after you take a phone call or reply a text message, you will automatically tell them who it was and what it was about. This is normal. If your partner are receiving a lot of calls or text messages and not explaining it truthfully, then he could be cheating.
• Having mentioned earlier on your spouse taking more phone calls than usual? Observed if he has been receiving calls later at night, or more often that he used to? He might be more careful about where he leaves his cell phone, be watchful when he phone ring or might walk out of the room as soon as he answers a call. Those are all signs that your spouse may be having an affairs.
• Your spouse started to be late for their time with you, they will no longer ask you to tag along for errands all of the time.  They’ll stop going out of their way to include you.  Or, when you are together, you’ll notice that their mind wanders, that they aren’t giving you their undivided attention.  They always seem to be thinking of someone or something else.
• Are you having sex less often? Human love to have sex and even after a long relationship, it should still be on a regular basis. While this is something that can cause concern, there may also be other reasons your spouse has little or no desire to have sex or even turning you down for sex. They may be cheating, thus getting it somewhere else.
• Is your spouse lying? If you may have thought that something he told you was a lie, and you asked him about it, chances are if he is cheating, he will become defensive. He may have told you that the reason he was late is that he stopped somewhere after work, but if you don’t believe him, ask him about it and judge his reaction.
• If your spouse is suddenly concerned about their appearance, it may be nothing to worry about but if he/she makes drastic changes in order to look more appealing, it may be a sign.
• A block between you and your partner may put your relationship in jeopardy. If your spouse doesn’t talk to you or maintains good communication, it may mean that he/she is cheating.
• The Internet makes it so easy for people to shop for a new lover, if your partner spends a lot of time online, you may want to check what exactly he/she is up to.
• The last one of the signs he is cheating is that he has accused you of cheating on him or is getting suspicious. Cheaters always believe that by accusing the other party, they are shifting the focus and make themselves feel better for cheating.

Cheat Me, Cheat Me Not

These were some signs of a cheater but remember that they can be innocent as well, therefore until and unless you get concrete evidence, do not make any rash decisions. This is because if you cannot show solid proof, then they will find a way to wiggle off the hook and actually make you feel guilty for accusing them. This is what deceptive people do when they are cheating and that is not what we are after.

Lastly, just because your spouse might have cheated does not mean your relationship has to end. Figure out what it is the factors that caused it and if you are willingly to give them a second chance, you might just end up with the perfect spouse ultimately.
